HOMEWORK POLICY OF ISWK
At ISWK, all students are expected to do homework regularly, for most subjects. Our aim is to foster

success as learners.
Purpose of Homework:
The main purpose of homework is to support and encourage students to develop independent study
PRIMARY - - - habits, organizational skills, time-management and self-discipline. Homework also helps the students
to establish a firm grasp of the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic work. (Three R’s)
Teachers of ISWK try to make homework stimulating rather than a reception of the day’s in-class work.
They monitor homework progress and communicate with the parents regularly.
Homework could take a variety of forms as listed below:

Proper parental involvement can increase the value of homework for children and it contributes
significantly to better student outcomes, including higher achievement, fewer discipline problems,
more positive attitudes towards school and more regular homework habits.
The following Homework Schedule is to be followed by the students of the school for this academic
year: The homework given should be such that the student does the work on his / her own with the
Primary School (KG, I & II) - No Homework However, it is recommended that the students revise
everything taught in the class on a regular basis.
