Mr. Rajendra Meghi Ved

Executive Director

Rajendra Ved is a well-established `Entrepreneur and Businessman’. He is the Managing Director of Lakhoo's Group pf Companies [Exchange, Trading]. He has been in Oman for the last 43 years and is actively involved in several social activities. His family has been in Oman since 1904. Rajendra Ved is the Executive Director the School Management Committees (Indian School Wadi Kabir & Indian School Wadi Kabir Cambridge International), and Treasurer of the Banyan Merchant Community (BMC).

Mr. Alkesh Naranji Joshi

Assistant Executive Director

Alkesh Joshi is a Partner with EY and is based in Oman. He is a Chartered Accountant from India and has been working in Oman since 2001. Alkesh has lived in Oman for more than 32 years and his family has been living in Oman for more than 52 years.

Alkesh is leading several initiatives for EY in Oman. He has been leading the tax services for EY in Oman. He is a regular contributor to various articles in the newspapers.

Alkesh is the Assistant Executive Director of the School Management Committee (SMC) and has been a member of the SMC of the Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir since 2010. He was a treasurer of the school from 2013 to 2017 and has been involved with several developments and initiatives at ISWK. He is also a board member of the Indian Schools Board overseeing all the Indian schools in Oman.He is a founding member of the Indo-Oman Business Forum and a member of Oman Cricket and an Advisor to the Board responsible for Oman Cricket.

Mr. Sachin Ravindra Toprani

President

Sachin Toprani, Director of Sachin Technologies LLC, is a successful IT professional and business owner. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wollongong and is a certified Information Systems Auditor by ISACA, USA. With a distinguished career, Sachin is actively associated with ISACA, USA, and the Institute of Management Consultants, UK, showcasing his expertise in both IT and business domains.

Mrs. Gargi Chugh

Member of -Staff Welfare and Grievances subcommittee

An international education professional with more than twenty-five years of experience working in the education sector, secondary and tertiary. Her quest to reimagine excellence in education in a changing world is a work in progress. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from L M College of Pharmacy, India and a Master’s in Management Science from N M Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, India. She has been an active academic for the last 25 years of which 17 have been with Majan University College, Oman, where she assumed a variety of strategic, operational and senior leadership roles in addition to teaching responsibilities. These included spearheading the culture of quality assurance in the college in her capacity as the Director of Quality Assurance and the setup of the Industry Engagement Group. Her expertise lies in the delivery of Strategy and Marketing courses at undergraduate as well as post graduate levels. During this period, she also worked closely with industry and has conducted many training programs, particularly in the areas of Leadership and Strategy for professionals both in India and Oman. She is a Consultant and External Reviewer for Oman Authority of Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAAQA). OAAQAA is responsible for regulating the quality of higher education in Oman to ensure the maintenance of a level that meets international standards.

Gargi has been actively involved with the Indian Community schools in the Sultanate of Oman since 2003, and currently serves as President of the School Management Committee, Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir International, Sultanate of Oman. Gargi is an Education Leadership Expert and a 21st century Learning expert.

Mr. Rajesh G. Soneji

Mr. Rajesh G. Soneji holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara - India and a Master’s in Business Administration from Pune University - India. He is currently working with Management of Hindu Temple, Muscat, since 2020. Prior to that he carries 15+ years of diversified working experience with various multinational banks.

Binay Shukla is a Chartered Accountant from India and lives in Oman and is an Associate Partner in assurance services with Ernst & Young. He has a B. Com (Hons.) from University of Calcutta and has a BSc. Hons in Financial Services from the University of Manchester.

Mr. Dahyabhai Chauhan

Chairperson-Purchase, Infrastructure and HSE subcommittee

Mr. Dahyabhai Chauhan is a Chartered Accountant with wide experience in Corporate Strategy, Organisational Structuring, Business Management, Finance Leadership, Performance Management, Business Evaluation, and Commercial matters.

He possesses extensive experience as a Business strategist with 25+ years of experience in the best of the FMCG manufacturing and distribution companies in India as well as in Oman such as Marico Industries, Pepsico India, Safwah Dairy, Ramniklal B Kothary & Co LLC, etc.

He is serving as Chief Operating Officer (C,E, O,) at Naranjee Hirjee Group having 120 years of legacy. He is widely recognized for building, and mentoring highly talented teams within aggressive timelines and in ambiguous environments. He enjoys a good track record of managing big corporate houses and family-managed companies. He is also a trainer in various business and personal development areas.

Apart from corporate responsibilities, he possesses a strong social profile and service orientation. He has been serving various honorary positions in Indian Schools in the Sultanate of Oman since 2018 in finance, purchase, infrastructure, HSE, staff welfare, etc domains.

His resourcefulness with professional and human approach makes him a leader with distinction.

Praveen Kumar is a Finance and Business Leader with 26 years of experience in Manufacturing, Trading and Financial Services Sector.

He is in the Board of various of commercial and not-for-profit organizations, enjoys travelling and passionate to connect with people.

Mrs. Jalpa S. Mehta

Member of Academic Sub Committee & Staff Welfare and Grievances subcommittee

A multi-potentialite with over 18 years of experience in multiple fields: corporate law, legal research, marketing, brand building, events management, corporate launches & roadshows, client relationship & people management, tenders & contracts management, legal training, and academic tutoring

Regular contributor of legal articles to Lexis Nexis, legal training sessions to university students and SME’s, marketing & brand promotion training to young Omani students, academic French tutoring to school students.

Currently she is a Senior Specialist Legal Consultant to a reputed Omani law firm, managing a marketing and events management company engaged in brand building and corporate launches & event and Co-lecturer Business Law Course, LOG and IBSM undergraduate cohorts, German University, Oman (GUTECH) and Co-lecturer Business Law Course, GUTECHA MBA. Actively involved in regularly training 60+ plus young Omanis in various related skills.

She has assisted the Ministry of Legal Affairs in delivering awareness campaigns on Intellectual Property Law. She has been recognized by Zubair Small and Medium Enterprises for her contribution towards empowering young Omani SME’s by providing legal training sessions.

With over 30 years of experience in Oman’s IT landscape, Mr. Umesh Shah currently serves as the Country Manager for Logicom Oman, a key subsidiary of Logicom IT Distribution. Under his leadership, Logicom continues to excel as a premier distributor of technology products — representing major global partners such as Cisco, HP, Intel, Lenovo, Adobe, Dell Technologies, Kingston, and more

He expertly manages P&L operations, fosters strong vendor and partner relationships, and drives both strategic vision and operational excellence in support of Logicom’s expanding regional footprint

Community & Sports Engagement

A devoted community member, Mr. Umesh plays an active role in the Gujarati Wing of the Indian Social Club, contributing to cultural and social initiatives that bring the Indian diaspora in Oman closer together

Beyond cultural involvement, he proudly serving as a certified umpire in domestic league tournaments organized by Oman Cricket Academy.

Mihir Asher is a Senior Manager in the Tax practice at EY Oman and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK. Born and raised in Oman, he pursued higher studies in Canada. With extensive experience in managing a broad spectrum of multinational and large local clients, Mihir is proficient in addressing complex client challenges and delivering effective solutions.

He is passionate about public speaking and frequently shares his insights at various forums, contributing to thought leadership through articles and discussions. Committed to fostering growth in the industry, Mihir actively mentors and guides young professionals, emphasizing learning and development initiatives.

Outside of work, he volunteers in various philanthropic initiatives to make a positive impact on society and enjoys stock investing and traveling with his family.

Having expertise in establishing International Schools with CBSE/IGCSE/IB curriculum, with over 38 years of experience in the Education Industry.
