Job Overview

The art teacher is responsible for providing high-quality art instruction to students, promoting their artistic growth, creativity and self-expression. They will design engaging lesson plans, assess student progress and maintain a safe and inspiring learning environment. The Art teacher’s role is to inspire students and foster their artistic talents. The Art teacher will also play a key role in organizing art events, integrating art with other disciplines and contributing to a vibrant school culture.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Instruction and Curriculum Development
    • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
    • Teach a range of artistic techniques and mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture, digital art and mixed media.
    • Foster an inclusive environment that encourages students to express themselves creatively.
  2. Student Engagement and Development
    • Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and confidence.
    • Identify and nurture individual talents and abilities.
    • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate special needs and learning challenges.
  3. Programme and School Participation
    • Organize and oversee student art projects, exhibitions and events.
    • Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art into interdisciplinary lessons.
    • Participate in professional development and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
  4. Administrative and Professional Duties
    • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance and assessments.
    • Order and manage art supplies within a budget.
    • Ensure a safe and clean classroom environment
  5. Expertise

    • Strong classroom management and organizational abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in integrating technology into art education
