Job Overview

We seek an enthusiastic and creative French Teacher to teach French to primary-level students (Classes 1-5) following the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a passion for languages, an ability to make learning fun and engaging for young students, and the skills to introduce basic French concepts effectively. This position involves teaching foundational French language skills in a nurturing and interactive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lesson Planning & Delivery
    • Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging French lessons for primary-level students (Classes 1-5), focusing on listening, speaking, and basic reading and writing skills.
  2. Language Foundations
    • Introduce students to basic French vocabulary, simple sentence structures, and essential grammar in an enjoyable, interactive way using songs, stories, and games.
  3. Interactive Learning
    • Use creative teaching methods such as visual aids, flashcards, language games, music, and multimedia tools to make learning French fun and relatable for young learners.
    • Use of AI tools for French learning can be implemented to the students for funbased learning.
  4. Assessment & Progress Tracking
    • Regularly assess students' language skills through informal assessments, oral exercises, and written activities. Provide feedback on progress and help students develop confidence in speaking and understanding French.
  5. Differentiated Learning
    • Cater to the diverse learning needs of primary students, providing additional support to those who require it and challenging advanced learners with additional vocabulary or tasks.
  6. Cultural Exposure
    • Introduce elements of French culture, traditions, festivals, and basic geography to create a well-rounded understanding of the language's cultural context
    • Ability to organise various Innovative French events and activities.
  7. Parent Communication
    • Maintain regular communication with parents regarding their child’s progress in French, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement during parentteacher meetings.
  8. Professional Development
    • Stay updated on new teaching strategies, language resources, and CBSE curriculum changes by attending workshops, training sessions, and educational conferences
  9. Extracurricular Engagement
    • Organize or participate in French-related extracurricular activities (e.g., language clubs, cultural events, or simple French role plays & skits) to reinforce language learning outside the classroom
  10. Skills & Competencies
    • Proficiency in spoken and written French, with a focus on basic language skills for young learners.
    • Knowledge of primary-level teaching strategies and CBSE curriculum requirements.
    • Strong classroom management skills.
    • Ability to make learning French engaging and fun through creative and interactive teaching methods.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
