Job Overview

The Tamil Teacher is responsible for imparting knowledge of the Tamil language, literature, and culture to students in a structured and engaging manner. Key Responsibilities

  1. Teaching and Curriculum Delivery
    • Plan, prepare, and deliver effective Tamil lessons covering grammar, literature, and cultural elements.
    • Develop engaging and interactive lesson plans aligned with the academic curriculum.
    • Use diverse teaching methodologies to address the varied learning styles of students.
    • Conduct assessments, assignments, and projects to monitor student progress.
    • Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning and language development.
  2. Student Development
    • Encourage reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills in Tamil.
    • Provide individual and group support to help students achieve their language goals.
    • Identify and assist students needing additional support or enrichment opportunities.
  3. Cultural Promotion and Extracurricular Activities
    • Organize cultural programs, such as Pongal celebrations, Tamil literary competitions, or language-related events.
    • Promote the appreciation of Tamil heritage and traditions within the school community.
    • Mentor students in Tamil-related extracurricular activities like debates, poetry recitations, quizzes, essay writing, or drama.
  4. Administrative Duties
    • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
    • Prepare and evaluate test papers and other academic reports.
    • Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance and growth.
    • Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum updates and event planning.
  5. Professional Development
    • Stay updated with advancements in Tamil language education and teaching methods.
    • Attend training sessions, workshops, and conferences to enhance professional skills.
  6. Collaboration and Teamwork
